Editorial Team

The Editorial Team of Journal of Sustainable Smart Materials and Structural Systems (JSSMSS) is responsible for maintaining the journal’s academic quality, editorial integrity, and independence. It oversees fair, transparent, and timely manuscript assessment, supports appropriate peer review, protects confidentiality, manages conflicts of interest, and ensures compliance with recognized standards of research and publication ethics.

Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief provides overall academic and editorial leadership and has final responsibility for editorial decisions and the journal’s scholarly standards. The Editor-in-Chief oversees manuscript evaluation and peer review, appoints and guides the editorial team, safeguards editorial independence, and addresses significant ethical or publication concerns.

Deputy Editors

Deputy Editors support the Editor-in-Chief in managing manuscripts, maintaining editorial standards, and overseeing peer review within their areas of responsibility. They may evaluate submissions, coordinate reviewers, advice on editorial decisions, address complex editorial or ethical matters, and contribute to the journal’s academic and strategic development.

Associate Editors

Associate Editors manage assigned manuscripts within their subject expertise. They conduct initial assessments, select appropriate and independent reviewers, oversee the peer-review process, evaluate reviewer reports, and provide reasoned recommendations on revision, acceptance, or rejection. They also maintain confidentiality and uphold the journal’s ethical and editorial policies.

Editorial Board Members

Editorial Board Members provide subject-specific expertise and support the journal’s academic development. They may review manuscripts, advice on editorial policies and emerging research areas, recommend reviewers or contributors, and assist with special issues and other scholarly initiatives. Board Members are expected to maintain confidentiality, disclose conflicts of interest, provide objective assessments, and uphold the journal’s academic and ethical standards.
